All
broadcasting classes at GBN are electives and count as a fine or
applied art. They are not academics! Both classes also require time
out of class for filming sporting events or some other event going
on at the high school.
Students work on a linear editor and eight non-linear editors
under the supervision of Peggy Holecek and Vince Pinelli. The television
studio consists of three cameras, a news anchor desk, blue screen,
and appropriate lighting. Every student in the High School is more
than welcome and encouraged to sign-up for broadcasting classes.
