Every year the course instructors award those seniors
who they feel have dedicated their time and effort to succeed in
the broadcasting field and further improve the broadcasting program.
Students receive honors for their work in Radio, Sports, and Television
broadcasting.

1st ANNUAL AWSOME TEACHER AWARDS
HELD BY ATT/COMCAST
Earlier this school year AT&T announced a contest in which
students could submit a short video or power point presentation
nominating a teacher they though were awesome.
The categories were The Sciences, The Humanities, The Arts, Wellness
and Sports, and Special Needs/Gifted Education. Two teachers were
honored in each category: one for grades 6-8 and one for grades
9-12.
GBN-TV students divided themselves into groups of two or three
and each picked a teacher they though should be recognized and produced
a five-minute video explaining why they thought this teacher was
awesome.

On November 30 AT&T announced the 1st Annual Awesome Teachers
Winners.
Three of the nine winners for the Awesome Teacher contest were
instructors nominated by GBN students.

The honorees received awards at a special presentation at the Museum
of Broadcast Communication
on Wednesday December 11, 2002.
At that time the Most Awesome Teacher was announced.
Lynne Zielinski was honored as the 1st Annual AT&T
Most Awesome teacher.
Lynne received a $2500 award.
Evan Bregman and Stanley Von Medvey receive $500 each.
